love it - great customer service too

This program is now our default for the company help manage. Easy to use, easy to update, synchs well. The calendar and To do functions are perfecxt for case management, and everything does what it should. When I accidentally reset a feature, the support team helped be fix the problem the same day, with ease. One very happy customer here.

Great Application - Great support if you ask

I’ve been a use since the very early days of BusyCal… It is so intuitive to use, does what you want. Recent question about BusyCal conflicts was answered within minutes, which made me wonder why I didn’t ask earlier…. I can’t imagine being without it. I believe the roots came from Now Up to Date, also a great product in its time.

Probably the best calendar App for Mac

I’ve tried a few, and this is probably the best calendar App for Mac. In any case, it’s definitively much better than iCal/Calendar. The smart filters adds another very useful way of quickly searching/displaying your various calendars. I gave it 4 starts instead of 5, because at (almost) $50 it’s somewhat overpriced. Moreover, the Fantastical menu bar is much nicer than the BusyCal one; hence, might want to consider getting both.

Best calendar app I’ve used

Perfect Google and iCloud integration for calendars, shared calendars, and tasks/reminders. I love it!

One of my essential tools

This is the best and most reliable calendar app that I could find. I use it to aggregate and manage multiple calendars - creates order out of a potential mess!

Not worth the the update price

I do perfer Busycal over apples calendar but I feel having to pay the full $49.00 to use it with Mavericks was a bit to much. Also i was not able to use it with one of my exchange accounts which was a real let down. This as forced me to check apples calendar for meetings and then copy / paste it into Busycal. I think the Busy people have to really find a fix for all exchange accounts before they say it works. If you have a exchange account, you should down load there demo first to see if it works. It will save you $49.00 thats not refundable.

A relief…..

The divorce of Calendar and Reminders is probably one of the worst moves Apple has made. Neither app is really very good - too many limitations - but splitting two roles that should be inextricably linked was dumb beyond belief. But I am truly grateful to Apple for doing it - without me being so frustrated by the illogical and pointless split, I would never have tried BusyCal, and never have realized just how bad Calendar (and Reminders) had become. No, BusyCal is not perfect- a couple of minor UI eccentricities that are a bit maddening (use of tab/arrow keys in dates, non-intuitive implementation of reminder). But it is SO much better than the native Apple apps.

Best Calendar + Task App

I’ve spent a while researching calendar apps that also allow you to add tasks. BusyCal gives you that functionality. It syncs with Mac OS and iOS calendars/reminders, and everything gets imported automatically. Highly customizable including colours for delegated calendars and moving the “all-day” banner, which Mac OS Calendar is lacking. Customizable views. Task sidebar is great and is definitely the thing I missed most about Mac OS Calendar. Great to have one back! BusyCal is worth the money. Best app investment I’ve made in a while.

awesome

I love it .. its better than my girlfriend.. its better than Cats… its the best

An excellent find

Great product, reliable and got me out of the dreadful mess that is Outlook for Mac. I switched to BusyCal for my scheduling and Mac Mail for my email and they function pretty seamlessly together. This has made a huge difference to my productivity on the Mac.

Could not manage my days without it

I’ve been using BusyCal for so long (years), that I can’t remember what the iCal frustrations/headaches/limitations were that drove me to seek out another calendar program. But BusyCal addressed all of my woes, and does everything you’d want in a calendar, and more. Customer support is excellent, too.

Priortizing

It’s the only calendar I use. Would be great if it had a way to prioritize events besides numbering them (like Now Up-to-Date used to do). Also would be nice if you could put a title on the calendar when printing. Thanks.

BusyCal Easily the best Calendar app for the Mac

Now that the BusyCal folks have integrated their BusyContacts app into my Mac workflow, I no longer mourn Now Software’s demise and feel as productive as I ever did using Outlook for Windows on PC. Well done!

What an Organizer… thank you

I don’t often rate apps but I really felt that this one was worth it. I have been trying to find a system to organize a small group in our company to keep them abreast of rentals, events and workshops and this apps does that for us. I am able to connect with other users to display their postings which I may or may not have the ablility to alter, they can see my main calendar which they can organize around… the To Do’s are the greatest thing for me, keeping me ontrack and ontime… We are so glad we discovered this app, easy for me to highly recommend.

It is ok, and so far the best available

I find the graphics could be improved. It also would be nice to schedule tasks also as recurrent. I wish there would be a window open permanently to schedule events. Why very few offer apps that work on the mac as well as on iphone and ipad, I don’t know, would be nice if that could be changed. On the positive side this app works very reliable, which is a huge plus compare to many others. But for its price I like to see much, much more.

Good Calendar replacement!

Now if these guys would just make a much more powerful, flexible version of Contacts...

Good replacement for Apples calendar

This app is well worth the price, as it removes some annoyances of Apples calendar app. The scrolling month and week views, along with the ability to add the times of events into one field using the 24-hour clock (rather than clicking in hours and minutes separately), are among my favourite features. I have a couple of criticisms and requests: 1. At present, if you use many calendars, it is far too difficult to zoom in on 1 particular calendar and then go back to ones default view. I think we need a contextual menu item called "Focus on this calendar" that, when selected, would hide all items in all other calendars. This should be a toggle, so that selecting it one more time would restore the previous view. 2. Search doesnt really work very well, or at least not as I would expect it to. If I type something into the search box, I would like BusyCal to show me all items, wherever they are, that match the item, not only those that are already visible.

Google Tasks

If you could sync with Google Tasks, BusyCal is the best calendar app in Macintosh.

Better than iCal

I am happy with BusyCal as I get my events, To Do’s, and weather all in one window. It links my iCloud niceley so all changes are viewed on my iPhone immediately. In Mavericks though it does not display today’s date in the Dock icon when not open (it does in Snow Leopard so is an Apple OS issue). Support is responsive when contacted. I will keep updating BusyCal as I feel I can trust this app and the people who develop it.

All the basic information you need at a glance, beautifully

I was bereft when NowUpToDate disappeared and took far too long to learn that BusyCal existed and was its reincarnation. I have a visual type of brain and a visually clear and attractive version of the most used and vital app I have means a lot to me. It seems obvious that ToDos available in the side panel is very helpful, and so are the mini weather symbols. Little things like this save a lot of wasted navigation over time and give a clear road map to the start of the day. Support is quick and helpful.
